65 videos • 1,839 views • by jimjam Some highlight clips from the inaugural Darker Waves Festival @ Huntington Beach CA (right on City Beach just below the pier) on November 18, 2023 featuring New Order/Tears for Fears/Human League/OMD/English Beat/Blossoms/Psychedelic Furs/Devo/Cardigans/Soft Cell. What a great day on the beach with about 30 bands on three stages (Waves, Darker, and Tiki)! We started on the Waves Stage and saw Twin Tribes, Drab Majesty, Blossoms, English Beat, OMD, Violent Femmes, and part of Devo before getting some food and transitioning to the Darker Stage where we saw a couple of songs from the Cardigans, then Soft Cell, and Psychedelic Furs, then transitioning to the Tiki Stage for Human League, then back to the Waves Stage for New Order, and finally back to the Darker Stage for Tears for Fears. All in all we watched these artists perform at least 107 songs from about noon until 10pm! Really tiring, but what a day!
