Jingo time

A music-hall song of that time was all the age and its refrain looks like this ~We don`t want to fight, but, by Jingo, if we do we`ve got the ships,, we`ve got the men, and got the money too. This became the battle-cry of the anti-Russians and war-mongers who were nick-named Jingoes. From then on, Jingo became a synonym for a vehement, bellicose patriot, and Jingonism for aggressive Imperialism or nationalism. From Words with a story, Collins Westminster Dictionary, p. 155
