Everspace 1 playthrough no commentary Hard+ (343k run)

The "ultimate" credit hoarding in Everspace - is a style of playing the game with one most simple goal: to earn most credits possible in a single run. Every last penny. Thus, whole BUNCH of extra difficulties automatically happen when playing it. Namely: - it must be Hard mode, because of +25% credit drops on Hard; - can't use Ancient Weapon, for one of most rewarding challenges (3k credits reward!) requires to disassemble all equipment before leaving 1st location, and Ancient Weapon can not be dropped / salvaged. Obviously, the challenge itself also adds difficulty; - can't use glyphs / enhancements which boost ship's offense and/or defense, because all 3 slots are needed for glyphs / enhancements to increase credits earned. Namely, Ancient Friends (+200 credits for each scan of those), Ancient Structures (to avoid going there, as those locations give no credits at all), and infinite sensor range enhancement (to be sure to find every last crate - those regularly drop credits); - can't buy anything from Traders and Service Stations with credits, because we're hoarding them! - must go with extremely little or no crafting, because one never knows which particular resources, and when, can be sold to traders for extra credits; - can not manually upgrade any weapon / system, because all crystals are needed to craft G&B beacons near the end of the run, to kill all those G&B fighters for extra credit drops. Only randomly-rolled upgrades some time in the middle of the run - from the scientist fella - are available; - required to spend much time exploring dangerous places, like minefields and environmentally hazardous locations - whenever any lifeforms can be there to be scanned for extra $; - must fight the Admiral Gorc and all his Okkar clones during the hoarding run, because okkar clones regularly drop credits too. This means DNA collection must be completed during the hoarding run - not before, not after; - required to allow Okkar reinforcements and must take them ALL out, including all capital ship turrets. Because reinforcements regularly drop credits on kill, and normally ~7 minutes is just not enough to find every last credit in a location (which is how long it takes for capital ships to arrive on Hard); - must attack G&B forces for extra $, including freighters, for more credit drops - and G&B are quite hard-hitting folks; - must go through hardest possible locations ("red" ones as much as possible), because those have more enemies, thus drop more credits. Which are the hardest places to go; - and requires lengthy preparations for each run, becayse challenges and quests are to be progressed to very late stages to all be contributing. Means, each "proper" credit hoarding run - is not just the run itself, it's pretty much whole another go from full reset of the game to its very late stages. Together, those 12 extra difficulties - make it quite more than "difficulty mode higher than Hard". It makes the game to become times harder to beat, and times longer to beat (in this way - to complete even a single good credit hoarding run). The run itself is times longer than normal, and preparation runs (normally over a dozen) are also needed. And thus, having some high figure in "credit record" in one's Everspace game stats - is one most simple, yet informative, metric about knowing the game in and out, and playing it well. What's yours? ;)
