2 videos • 36 views • by Uki Bauki 《mutralun・與山》"mutralun— Wisdom of the Mountains" Taiwan│2022│HD│color│Katratripul language／Chinese│50mins│Uki Bauki 進到山林裡，不是隨便進去，而是一種進入神聖之地的概念，須帶著乾淨的心，放下忌妒心，將心裡的、身體的、雜亂的、躁氣的放在外面，才能走進到山。進到山林如同空間與心態的轉換。 我們沒有「獵」這個概念，稱進到山為mutralun，走山，是藉由回到山林，回到舊部落領域行獵的過程，知道領域裡有什麼動植物，像上一輩學習怎麼山林知識和技能，知道如何在山林裡生存、採集和拿取。卡大地布部落對於男子進到山林的行獵養成，從9-13歲的達古伐古範階級開始訓練，直到成年，成為具備mutralun真正行走於山，與山共處山的人。「我們沒有狩獵或獵人的概念，我們稱進到山林裡，熟知山林的智者為na mi’alrup ，領土的守護者」。所以不是「獵」這樣的理解，而是從空間的，心裡的，知識的，態度的各種具備，卡大地布部落如何在山林學習，如何成為感念、謙卑，與山在一起的人？ Going into the mountains is not a random or casual action, but a concept of entering a sacred place. People must be with a clear mind, let go of jealousy, and put aside what’s bothering in hearts or bodies, as well as all the mess and anger, before entering the mountains. To go into the forest is like a transformation of space and mentality. We do not have the concept of “hunting”. We say “mutralun” in our language, which means to enter and patrol in the mountains. It’s a process of learning via going into the forest, and returning to the site our ancestors used to live and to get some preys on the way, as well as to learn about the animals and plants in the territory, to obtain the knowledge and skills to survive and collect in the forests. The training to enter adulthood in the Katratripulr Community begins with the age rank of takuvakuvan for the boys of 9 to 13 years old. After they are trained and recognized, they would become the people who can really “mutralun” and be with/in the mountains. “We do not have the concept of ‘hunting’ or ‘hunter’. We call the people who go into the mountains and have the wisdom and knowledge to be in the mountains ‘na mi’alrup’, meaning the guardian of the territory.” Therefore, it’s not to understand from the perspective of “hunting”, but to be equipped in terms of space, mentality, knowledge and attitude.
