Tamiya RC and model kits

4 videos • 3 views • by Camber Kitesurfing I have a couple of vintage tamiya RC cars, they are great fun and a retro blast from the past, transporting me back to childhood in the late 80's! Back in the day the first I had was the Tamiya Boomerang, i swapped that for a pair of cricket pads! I didn't have the money to buy parts or maintain it unfortunately. Next up I saved and bought the new Blackfoot kit. It was great but the diff and drive shafts were always failing. I think the Tamiya kits have great sentimental value for big kids (people in their 40's!) who now have a spare tenner for parts when things break. So now I have a Blitzer Beetle and a Mantaray, both great fun. We also had a Clod Buster for a while but the steering is a bit funky so we sold that on. Next move could well be a Lunchbox kit, let us know your reccommendations!
