This is the EV-95 battery that's used in the Toyota RAV4-EV, and which was formerly used in the HondaEV and the RangerEV. The Nickel battery used briefly in the 1999 EV1 was the apparently more primitive Ovonics version, which required that GM refrigerate the battery compartment. Ironically, Toyota didn't refrigerate the battery compartment of the RAV4-EV, but should have allowed for it, or at least put an alarm on their battery compartment to warn of a heat issue. All Nickel batteries are vulnerable to excessive heat, even the EV-95.
