Calling ourselves “The Mudsharks,” after a somewhat unseemly song by Frank Zappa, we put together a CD that was supposed to be a demo to get some work. Unfortunately, the band never progressed any further than the Demo CD, which I’m posting to youTube. Why? Because despite the obvious amateur nature of many of these cuts, I believe these recordings are charming and that others will find them interesting. On these recordings The Mudsharks cover several surf tunes, some raw Link Wray covers, a few blues tunes, and interesting Captain Beefheart covers, especially the title tune “Dirty Blue Gene.” The Mudsharks consisted of: Philip DeWalt - guitar, keyboards, programming Pat Jones - guitar, bass, harmonica, vocals Hope you enjoy!
