White on White (Selections from E.B. White, read by son Joel White)
2 videos • 11 views • by Anastasia Walker A cassette released in 1996 by the small Maine label, River Music, of selections by the American writer and grammarian E.B. White, read by his son Joel, himself a successful builder of wooden boats and founder of the Brooklin Boat Yard (located near where I grew up). The senior White, known for his beloved tale for young people, "Charlotte's Web," among other works, lived principally in the tiny eastern Maine town of North Brooklin from 1937, and died there in 1985. His son passed away the year after these recordings were released.
