It’s all or nothing. Jump in and make some waves…or don’t. A cannonball jump into a pool is a great metaphor for living as Jesus taught us to live. Metaphors are one of the most powerful teaching tools Jesus used. A good metaphor can provide clarity and direction. For instance, as our Shepherd, God guides us. As our Father, He provides for us. As the Great Physician, He cares for us. As King, He has authority over us. This month, we’re going to jump straight into the Gospels to identify four of these metaphorical phrases. With a “Cannonball!” approach to these, we will learn to live as Jesus taught us to live.
