The Official Bioblitz Dance Playlist

Here's how it started: We were invited to present at National Geographic's Annual Bioblitz Event and Biodiversity Festival at Golden Gate Park in 2014. I wanted to inspire with whatever message we would come with. My youth partners and I decided that we would not only tell stories about the California Conservation Corps's conservation work, we would also dance. So the Bioblitz Dance was created. We released a video of the dance before the Bioblitz Event with one rule: the Bioblitz Dance must be done outdoors (or in a tent at the actual event). The dance spread, and soon we were getting Bioblitz Dance Response Videos from all over the world. They were awesome. And when we got to the event, a bunch of school kids had already seen the dance and practiced it, so they came up on stage with us to do it! We would love to see your Bioblitz Dance. If you make a video of you and/or your friends doing it, please title it "The Bioblitz Dance" so we can find it on a Youtube search. Remember the Bioblitz Dance is a celebration of being outside, so the dance must be done outdoors. We would love to see the Bioblitz Dance being done all the way to 2016 to celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the National Parks Service.
