23 videos • 58 views • by Much Ado About Something Herbs were such a big part of my life in the Appalachian Mountains. I didn't realize that they were herbs until I grew older. Plantain was simply a green that my Mother would go out and cut off, wash and cook in our kitchen. Sorrel, we called it sour grass , a treat as we plucked it and ate it fresh. Many other stories of herbs used to treat this and ease that. Only when I got older did I realize the value of herbs. They will forever be a part of me. I have learned so much more about them. I love to share what I know and continue to learn.
