Pasayten Wilderness
1 videos • 0 views • by Coulee Outdoors Pasayaten Wilderness is a missive area of preserved land between the crest of the Cascade Mountains to the west, and the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the NE corner of the state. This area is wild, remote, and rugged. There are more than 150 peaks at over 7,500 feet in elevation, and hides rare animals like moose, wolves and the largest population of lynx in the Lower 48. There are more than 600 miles of trail within the wilderness, but it is a minimum of 4 hours driving from the Seattle Metro Area to get to a trailhead that will access the wilderness. This place has been on my radar for a while, but again, its a looong drive from anywhere to get into it. Some hikes we hope to get on soon: - Jackita Ridge #738 - Lake Creek #500 - Boundary Trail #533 to Sunny Pass - Buckskin Ridge #498 to Silver Lake - PCT #2000 N from FS 54 to Windy Pass - Chewuch River #510 - N Fk Twentymile #560 - Lost River #484 - Robinson Creek #478 - Billy Goat Pass #502 Hidden Lakes #477
