An extraordinary environmental artwork by celebrated musician and sound-artist Biosphere turns Europe's largest urban glasshouse into a sonic test chamber. Another site specific piece commissioned for the festival, 495,63 by Yasunao Tone, one of the pioneers of sonic art. Tone transformed a book of Chinese calligraphy into a sonic and visual performance at Sheffield's Central Library (18 May).
