Despite the relentless physicality of play, both the Bulls and the Knicks maintained true shooting percentages of 53% and 51% respectively. They particularly excelled in making contested shots in the mid-range area, even though many physical contacts went uncalled by the referees. Both teams aggressively pushed and clawed for position, with contact on jumpers and drives often going uncalled, yet they still managed to make their shots. If these teams in this era, they would likely shoot an even higher percentage, given that there would be less physicality to disrupt their shots.
