Mick Doherty is a mainstay of the West Coast dulcimer scene. No Strings Attached have stretched the boundaries of string music beyond traditional concepts. Their music has been described as eclectic jazz on acoustic instruments including hammered dulcimers, guitar, bass, harmonica, bouzouki, pennywhistle, flute, kalimba, synthesizers, clarinets, saxophones, slinkies and percussion.
