Tanya Stephens : "Stripped Down" - A JTV Raggamentary!

7 videos • 1,584 views • by Frank Lyalone As legend would have it, this show was broadcast on Jamaican Television some time after Jan 21st 2006, sponsored by "Bonita Jamaica": www.BonitaJamaica.com, which is probably a travel agency given their splash screen (which, I'm sorry to say, had to be erased). The broadcast also includes exactly one single frame (ie. 1/30th of a second) of information about the performances given here. That single frame (in case you missed it) reads as follows: ------------------- "On January 21st, 2006, at the New York City's famed Knitting Factory, [Tanya?] Stephens unveiled songs from her new album "Rebelution" to a celeot [sic] group of music critics and media. We are very proud to make this very special "Stripped Down" acoustic performance available to Tanya's most important critics... her fans. Welcome to the Rebelution!" ------------------- Well, I am also very proud to bring this very special "Stripped Down" performance (actually called "Unplugged"; a DVD included with the CD purchase of Rebelution) to you! Her *new* fans! This show includes full acoustic versions of "I am Woman", "Can't Breathe", "To The Rescue", "It's a Pity" and "Damn You", as well as a few out-takes from her recording studio of a song who's title I am not familiar with. The show also includes a few brief interviews with some of her producers, namely "Barry O'Hare" and "Andrew Henton". Note: I've also added an extra *bonus track* "Do You Still Care" (also from the "Unplugged" DVD). Welcome to the uhh... "not-so-quiet" Rebelution!
