2017-2019 Concrete and Gold Era
7 videos • 268 views • by FooFightersBootlegs This touring era of the band is one that, in my opinion, had them become a bit more strict with setlists, not often playing much outside of the usual big hits such as Everlong, Times Like These or Best of You. However, excluding this part which I see as something negative, there is a lot going for the concerts from this era of the band. Newer songs from Concrete and Gold would be played for the first times, including Run, La Dee Da, The Sky is a Neighborhood and Dirty Water (my personal favourite from the album). This is also the only tour right now to have had anything from the 2015 Saint Cecilia EP played, as the song Sean was played twice in 2017. A few highlights of the tour would be the band playing at Glastonbury for the first time since 1998, something that was actually meant to happen in 2015, but was delayed due to Dave needing surgery for his broken leg, and the Atlantic Station concert where the band invited many guests up to perform with them. In terms of the band line-up, by this stage the core band was fairly solidified, with Dave Grohl on lead vocals and guitar, Chris Shifflett on lead guitar and backing vocals, Pat Smear on guitar, Nate Mendel on bass guitar, Rami Jaffee on keyboard and of course Taylor Hawkins on drums and occasional vocals/backing vocals (most notably on Sunday Rain or Cold Day in the Sun, or for cover songs). New additions here are Barbara Gruska, Laura Mace and Samantha Sidley, all providing backing vocals.
