Nirvana Concerts

73 videos • 405 views • by FooFightersBootlegs While Foo Fighters are my all time favourite band, there's a few other bands that hold a special place for me and one such is Nirvana, given the Dave Grohl connection. While they need no introduction, Nirvana were a band formed in the late 80s in Seattle, by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic. The band went through four drummers and one album with Chad Channing, Bleach. Dave joined the band in late 1990 after leaving his previous band Scream and in 1991 the band released Nevermind. After a huge explosion of popularity following the album and its lead single, Smells Like Teen Spirit, the band were skyrocketed at incredible speeds into worldwide superstardom. Along with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains, Nirvana became one of the big four bands to emerge out of Seattle at this time. 1992 saw the release of the compilation album Incesticide but no major album and then 1993 saw the release of their third mainstream album, In Utero. After a little touring towards the start of 1994, Kurt Cobain took his own life, ending the band effective immediately. Since Kurt's passing, the band have reunited a few times, most notably to perform at their 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, playing some big hits with some underappreciated female rockers. I've recently really started enjoying more Nirvana material and I want to upload more shows from them every now and again.
