The lyrical content alongside the production styles always made me listen over and over - like many artists, alot of these songs influenced my own productions. When I was 18 I joined a band with a Bajan guitarist who was so dedicated to music that he would sometimes sleep with his guitar and a Jamaican drummer who always drove with a half-spliff hanging out the side of his mouth - doing Marley covers - I had to learn about 50 songs worth of Marley's bass lines which was one of the best musical educations I could have.
