These antique and vintage automatons represent androids (clown automatons, musician automatons, magician automatons, etc.), animals (cat automatons, rabbit automatons, bear automatons, etc.) or animated scenes with several automatons, such as the automatons made by Jean-Pierre Camus or by "L'arbre à pain". The greatest creators of automatons of the ancient and modern eras are represented. For the ancient automatons: Vichy, Roullet-Decamps, Renou, Phalibois, Bontems, Lambert etc... and for the modern automatons: Renatto Boaretto, Michel Marcu, Farkas, Jean-Pierre Camus, Latil-Pernot, Michel Bertrand etc... In these videos you will see a traditional cat automaton designed by "L'arbre à pain": "la chatte élégante à l'éventail", a bear automaton from "L'arbre à pain": "Ours dans son fauteuil", a nurse automaton from "Latil-Pernot": "Le repas de bébé". These musical automatons are of traditional construction: heads modelled in glued paper and painted in the old fashioned way or heads in porcelain, costumes made to measure with fabrics, laces and old facings. Musical wind up mechanisms with 36 notes, of Swiss origin, emit soft melodies to add to the magic of these musical salon automatons. The melodies are often classical arias by Mozart, Boccherini, Schubert etc... For the record: More than 30 years ago, Anne Pradère and Dominique Jalabert, in their workshop "L'arbre à pain", imagined, designed and produced a collection of animal automatons, inspired by the satirical characters of Granville, a 19th century caricaturist, with a nod to La Fontaine. The mechanical creations of "l'Arbre à Pain" represent scenes of everyday life in which animals mock men. The LATIL-PERNOT automatons were made in France by Gilbert LATIL and dressed by Anne-Marie PERNOT. From 1977 to 1994, they created together, unique pieces and limited series. The manufacturing is entirely handmade, with a lot of precision and care in the details. Enjoy your viewing and don't hesitate to subscribe to receive videos of our latest creations.
