The inspiration for this site originated from a conversation I had with a lady leaving my local music shop who was learning the acoustic on behalf of her grandson. He was bemoaning the fact that there didn't seem to be many sites on Youtube covering 'easy, beginners' modern-ish songs. So I thought I would look at old and newer artists and see if I could cover those songs that could be adapted to be within the reach of a beginner. No barre-chords (well perhaps an odd one here or there) and basic strumming patterns. Clearly this isn't a tutorial site but if there is any song you want to ask me about please feel free , in the comments. I've only picked songs I like which predominantly are slow and often mournful. If you haven't heard of some of the artists I have covered please check them out, there's some great stuff out there.
