Founded in 1987, TTC OE Bad Homburg competes in the TTBL, the strongest regularly playing table tennis league in the world. Legendary coach Helmut Hampl, the discoverer and mentor of players such as Timo Boll (who repeatedly topped the men's singles world rankings for nearly two decades), Jörg Rosskopf, and Patrick Franziska, is the head coach of the first team and sports director of the club. With both Olympic medalist and world and European champion Kristian Karlsson as well as French champion Can Akkuzu in its ranks, 14 teams, and over 200 members, the elite club provides a platform for players of all ages and skill levels. Additionally, the club is actively involved in social projects and promotes local youth talent to foster a passion for the sport.
