The `Egyptians' distinguished between the fertile and barren
portions/parts of their land, calling the former /Km.t/
(Black land/soil) and the latter /Desheret/(Red Sand/land)
Copt (from I am one) is the term that designates the native population of Egypt, as opposed to the various invaders or settlers (Greeks, Romans, Persians, etc) who came to Egypt from other countries. Coptic and Demotic are grammatically closely related to Late Egyptian, which was written with Egyptian hieroglyphs. There is absolutely nothing negro about ancient Egypt.
