HK-born flautist Marco Leung is a recipient of the R C Lee Centenary Scholarship 2017 and 2019. He has recently graduated from Royal College of Music, London with ArtDip and MMus in Performance with Distinction under the tutelage of Katie Bedford, Emer McDonough, Sue Thomas, Kathleen Stevenson, Stewart McIlwham and Rachel Brown. Previously, he was awarded first-class honour for his BA in Music at CUHK where he studied with Ivy Chuang.
As an active orchestral musician and recitalist, Marco has held principal positions in different orchestras in HK and London and collaborated with Chung Chi Orchestra as concerto soloist. Marco has performed in venues around Europe and Asia. Besides, Marco is a passionate educator and orchestral conductor. He is currently acting as band conductor, flute tutor and ensemble coach in various institutions, including CUHK, HKU, EduHK, CIHE, LSC, GHS, KC, LSPS, SSCPS & CCC Kei Wan.
