Tokamachi City in Niigata Prefecture is one of the heaviest snowfall areas in Japan.
With a population of about 53,000, the city receives as much as 2.5 meters of snow.
Niigata Prefecture is blessed with an abundance of water, as represented by the Shinano River, the largest river in Japan, but another important factor is that the snowfall in winter melts in spring to moisten the land.
The snow that is supposed to melt in spring falls here in Tokamachi in large quantities in a short period of time.
Contrary to the image of a "beautiful silver world," "silky and fluffy," the "cold, hard, and heavy mass of ice" can sometimes block traffic, damage houses, and even hurt people.
We at "Hokuetsu Snow Melting" have been solving such "negative aspects of snow" with our "energy transfer technology" cultivated over the years.
