ACCS is a registered scientific society founded to provide a forum to individuals, institutions and industry to encourage the promotion of advanced Computing and Communications technologies.
The society has relentlessly continued its efforts to promote research and development in the areas of advanced computing and communications by organizing seminars, national/international conferences and mentoring students in this space.
The society had its origin in the late eighties as the Indian Transputer User Group (ITUG), which was founded as a special interest group by Dr. L. M. Patnaik from the School of Automation, IISc and Dr. S. K. Sinha from the Department of Electrical and Communications Engineering, IISc. ITUG organized an annual Transputer Users meeting to debate advances in computing sciences that later became the Advanced Computing Conference in 1993. Since then, ADCOM has been the flagship event of our Society.
