I started learning Hindustani classical music at the age of 6. I was fortunate to receive vocal lessons and much inspiration from the late, renowned sarod maestro Pt. Rajeev Taranath. Later I started training under Vidushi Lalith J. Rao, doyenne of the Agra-Atrauli Gharana from the age of 10. Under Lalithji’s caring and encouraging guidance, I am learning the intricacies of the layakari and bol banaav of the Agra tradition.
