The Diver family is one of the oldest names in the Delaware automotive community, and probably has been selling and servicing cars since before you were born.
Frank W. Diver, began selling Franklin automobiles in Philadelphia in 1915. After World War I, he acquired the Packard agency at 10th and King Street in downtown Wilmington. In 1935 his company moved to the Pennsylvania Avenue location near Bancroft Parkway. The new facilities were built that became very prominent for the large showroom and huge selection.
The business is now managed by a third generation of family members and has continued to grow. A separate Used vehicle facility was opened in February 2001 on Greenhill Avenue and a new, state of the art, service and parts operation opened in 2002.
Throughout Diver Chevrolet’s storied history, there is a closeness between customers, employees and the Diver family that remains the Diver hallmark of customer commitment today.
