Matt Genders, is a cellist and teacher currently living in the Philadelphia area. He received his Master of Music degree from the
Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, studying with former LA Philharmonic Principal cellist Peter Stumpf, and his Bachelor of Music degree
at Temple University, studying with cellist Jeffrey Solow. An advocate for music education, he has studied pedagogy under Susan Moses and Mimi Zweig at the IU String Academy. Matt has held positions on the faculty of Temple University, Delaware County Christian School, Nelly Berman School, Darlington Arts Center, and The Music School of Delaware.
