A relationship with Jesus Christ, requires that we cultivate a deeper understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what He represents. This can include reading the Bible, praying, and seeking out guidance from the Holy Spirit. Through this process, individuals are able to develop a personal connection with Jesus that is not solely based on external rules or rituals.
In contrast, a focus on religion can sometimes lead to legalism and a focus on external practices rather than an internal transformation of the heart. Religion should not take the place of a genuine relationship with God.
A relationship with Jesus Christ fosters a deeper sense of connection, understanding, and intimacy with God.
