The music of Clockwork Orchestra has been described as "hovering somewhere between Ariel Pink’s creepo energy and Django Django’s stylish eccentricity" and like "a less annoying Dan Deacon" but perhaps the BBC's Linda Serck put it best when she described Paul Mangan's recording project as being "as mad as a box of frogs".
By tentatively pressing play on a Clockwork Orchestra album, one can expect to be taken into a bizarre and beguiling world of carousel organ melodies, Dr Seuss lyricism and chaotic guitar riffs meticulously stitched together into mesmeric compositions which can take the form of a psychedelic synthpunk odyssey just as easily as a blissfully bouncing waltz.
