This channel follows the restoration of my 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL, a project that began when I purchased the car at an auction in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, I rebuilt the entire suspension, including the differential, using only genuine Mercedes parts. I also replaced the timing chains, guides, and cam gears, and the car ran beautifully—until a serious rear seal leak and an exhaust smoke issue led me to park it for years.
In 2021, I decided it was time to restore the 560SL once and for all, starting with the rear main seal. That initial repair turned into a full engine rebuild, and that’s how this channel was born! Here, I share detailed videos of the entire restoration process, from mechanical rebuilds to the final touches.
