Chris & Matt Mersch, twins from Charlotte NC.

Our main passion is exploring and creating music, aiming to write true and honest tracks that can connect with any listener. Pulling influence from City and Colour, Death Cab for Cutie, Mumford and Sons, and Manchester Orchestra, we enjoy performing indie rock, folk, and singer/song writer style songs.

Our love for music started at an early age, being 90's kids we connected with hit bands at the time, such as Linkin Park, Blink 182, The All American Rejects, and Green Day. Loving the creative freedom, passion, expression, and image of cool looking dudes give their all on the stage sparked something within us.

By the end of our Freshman year in high school we were getting tired of playing every song on guitar hero in expert mode, and figured we'd finally try out the real thing. We received guitars for Christmas 09' that year, and have not stopped writing ever since. We hope you enjoy our music under "I and the Lad" & "The Mersch Twins".
