Hi, I’m Nathaniel Kuo-Hsu, an 11-year-old cellist from New York City. I started playing the cello in 2020 during my stay in Taipei at a local luthier shop near my grandparents. Since then, I’ve grown a lot as a musician and had the chance to perform in different countries, including Austria, Taiwan, and the U.S.
Some of my favorite memories are playing a concerto as a soloist with the Vienna International Orchestra in Austria and performing during Sunday Mass at Stift Altenburg in Lower Austria.
I’ve been lucky to win several competitions, most recently the Lucy Moses School Concerto Competition in 2025. These experiences have taken me to amazing places like Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Stift Altenburg, Stift Geras, and the Dimenna Center.
