Hi all,
Back home for the first time in almost a year – hence first time properly on-line in a year.
Since my Dad died last June I’ve been caring for my Mum in rural mid-Wales: no car, mobile phone, or Internet – just infrequent buses, dodgy postal deliveries, & a noisy land-line to remind myself ‘The Matrix’ is still functioning. Albeit, the image here shows the kind of daily distractions I do suffer from.
Have to say, been bliss not having technological distractions! Conversely, it’s been rather weird/bizarre trying to interact with bureaucrats to sort all the legal and technical shenanigans on that basis. Almost surreal at points!
I’ve done lots of gardening, buildings/maintenance work, and enjoyed being outdoors every day :-) Over Winter did a lot of reading and new writing for my (eventual) return: I’ve half a dozen scripts for videos, and some new ideas to relate… perhaps even the rough of a book. I've also added a new category of book reviews: Books I really hate, but it’s necessary to read to understand ‘The Opposition’.
For now, though, it looks like at least a few more months to get everything sorted. Just home for another day to complete bureaucratic paperwork, then off again. When I return, to functioning computers and broadband, I’ll start the videos flowing once more.
Keep holding the line against the madness of ‘The Machine’ and I’ll be back ASAP.
