In eighteenth century Maine, Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) directs the town of Collinsport. A rich and intense playboy, Barnabas seals his own particular fate when he breaks the heart of a witch named Angelique (Eva Green). Angelique transforms Barnabas into a vampire and covers him alive. After two centuries, Barnabas escapes from his tomb and finds 1972 Collinsport an altogether different spot. His once-fantastic home has fallen into ruin, and the broken remainders of his family have fared minimal better.
