DJ Ruff has been active in the Kenyan Gospel scene since the year 2010. After working in radio (Ghetto Radio 89.5 and Truth FM) as well as TV (Maisha Magic East and KBC), he now launches this Youtube Channel.
The first instalment of content on this channel is Sheng Bible Study. DJ Ruff is going through the entire New Testament in Sheng. Every week, he breaks down a portion of scripture in a simple, easy to digest episode.
Sheng simply means Swahili mixed with English. It is a creole originating among the urban youth of Nairobi and is very commonly used in Kenya especially in informal conversations.
