Trunkline is the union of Madben and Yann Lean. The duo plays raw groovy techno with textures and rhythmic gimmicks. Influenced by the sound of 90’s rave, they deliver techno based on lively writing and spontaneity. With Trunkline, they rediscover the distinctive grain of techno only achieved with analogue machines. On stage, Trunkline plays a 100% hardware live set up which allows for jazzlike improvisations and interactions with the audience. The duo also performs a four-handed dj set, with formidable energy.
Trunkline's first ep's were released on the eponymous label, then other ep's were released on Planet Rhythm, Gynoid, Noir music, KR/LF, Skryptom. Trunkline was also noticed by Carl Cox and Nicole Moudaber, who offered to remix them on Mood records label. Their first "Mercy" LP has been released on Arkham audio in 2022 and a new one is coming soon!
Since then, Trunkline's productions have regularly been playlisted by Ben Klock, Dave Clarke, Paula Temple or Laurent Garnier...
