FameLab is the world's leading science communication competition, designed to inspire, motivate and develop scientists and engineers to actively engage with the public. In 2021, after 15 successful years and over 10,000 participants from more than 30 countries, the partnership between British Council and Cheltenham Festivals sadly came to an end.
In Ireland, FameLab ran for 9 years and boasts an amazing network of 90+ passionate science communicators, all skilled and committed to continue sharing their work and knowledge with public audiences nationally and internationally.
FameLab Ireland was funded by Science Foundation Ireland and was supported by Cpl Resources Plc and Henkel Ireland Limited. It was managed by the British Council Ireland in collaboration with partners from higher education, research, media and public engagement across Ireland
