“Why is space black?
Despite the billions of stars, space looks black because of Olbers’ Paradox. This is because the universe expands faster than the speed of light, causing light from distant galaxies to stretch into wavelengths like infrared, microwaves, and radio waves, which our eyes can’t detect.
Additionally, space is a near-perfect vacuum with few particles to scatter light to our eyes, unlike Earth’s atmosphere which scatters sunlight and makes the sky appear blue during the day.”
