The UCF College of Medicine is the academic center of the emerging medical city at Lake Nona. The medical school enrolled its first class in 2009, and thanks to community donations, all 40 members of the charter class received full four-year scholarship, making UCF the first medical school in U.S. history to offer full scholarships to an entire class.
The college includes the M.D. program, which will ultimately enroll 480 students a year, and world-class researchers at the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences. Together these programs create a research-intensive medical school where cutting-edge medical research spans the entire spectrum from laboratory bench to bedside.
Dedicated to being the nation’s premier 21st century medical school, the UCF College of Medicine features state-of-the-art labs and classrooms that support an innovative curriculum. Our program is designed to create physicians and scientists who will become health care leaders of tomorrow.
