Pt. Geetesh Mishra ji is a well-known vocalist in our country. He has been an A-grade certified singer by All India Radio for over more than 10 years. Pandit Geetesh Mishra ji inherited a legacy of over 300 years of the Banaras Gharana from his guru (and father), Pt. Mahesh Prasad Mishra ji, a well-known vocalist and sarangi player. He has given successful performances in India and abroad and has created a world record in Hindustani music by singing 111 ragas in 2 hours and 14 minutes, which is recorded in the Golden Book of World Records. He is both a singer and a music composer, and is a versatile artist who sings classical, semi-classical, and light genres with equal proficiency. He has authored books on music and has been invited to conduct seminars and workshops by universities. He has been teaching students since last 25 years and many of his students have taken singing as profession under his guidance, giving performances and running own music classes.
