Centenary Methodist Church was announced in 1935 during the Centenary celebrations of the first Wesleyan missionaries who arrived in Fiji with the building first opened in 1954. It can be said that it is 'the cathedral of Methodism in the heart of Suva that is a meeting point catering for all Methodists of different backgrounds.'
