My channel is dedicated to making patchwork quilts. I love making unique pieces that are beautiful to look at and hold. They are 'utilitarian' - they are made to be used and loved and all that entails! I don't make patterns or follow them - I prefer to follow my creative instinct but am happy to share that and my process with anyone who is interested. I work in a small space with inexpensive equipment...you really don't need very much to have fun! And you can source fabric at reasonable prices if you look around. Whenever I can I buy natural cottons and products that are recyclable...I mostly use quilt blocks/designs that don't produce very much waste...and the waste I do produce I try to use in other products as fillers etc. Of course there is a cost involved with this passion and to off-set that I have a Folksy shop: Patchwork Quilts with Diane where I sell my bespoke beauties at very good prices.
