Chris Robley is a performing songwriter, published poet, and music producer who lives in Lewiston, Maine.
His milltown Americana and gothic indie-pop music (which has drawn comparisons to John Vanderslice, John Lennon, Jason Isbell, Bruce Springsteen, Badly Drawn Boy, and more) has been praised by NPR, the LA Times, the Associated Press, the Boston Globe, Performer Magazine, and others. Skyscraper said he is “one of the best short-story musicians to come along in quite some time.”
Robley’s poetry has been published in POETRY Magazine, Prairie Schooner, Poetry Northwest, Beloit Poetry Journal, RHINO, Magma Poetry, and more. He is the winner of Boulevard’s Poetry Prize for Emerging Writers and the recipient of a Maine Literary Award in poetry. He was selected by former poet laureate Robert Pinsky as a finalist for the Dorset Prize.
