Hi and welcome. On this channel I will play and give support material for teaching contrabass online. I’ll focus on the most common excerpts and etudes for the intermediate level, emphasising the importance of rhythm, intonation and phrasing. From Beethoven’s 3rd Symphony until Mozart’s Magic Flute, I’ll try to explain the strokes we need throughout the orchestral literature such as spiccato and sautille and how do they work on double bass. I hope to help the young bass player preparing her or his entrance examination repertoire for music school. Enjoy your practicing!
