Riverfield Rocks is one of the most unique and progressive school band programs in the country. It uses modern and classic rock music to teach the fundamentals of musical performance, theory, and expression in an environment that is both supportive and moderately competitive. The program has been embraced and supported by touring artists such as AC/DC, Paul McCartney, Roger Daltrey, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, The Mowgli's, and Phantogram.
Riverfield Rocks has 16 bands, beginning in 4th grade, and offers classes in Theory, Songwriting, Production, and Music History at Riverfield Country Day School in Tulsa, OK. The bands regularly play on campus and at the Cain's Ballroom, Guthrie Green, the BOK Center, and many other places across the Tulsa Metro area. The Upper School students also travel to the ISAS Arts Festival every year to such places as Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.
