Shadowbox was formed in 2010, when Mihai Iordache of Protest Urban, Silviu Badea (Montgomery Clunk/ Contorsionist), Răzvan Ristea (Luna Amară) and Rareș Bartoș (Narkoma & Deviant) met and decided that they can easily put the basis of an unique and fresh musical project. In 2013 Shadowbox added a new member, Codin Oraseanu (Low Freq), who managed to implement his own personal touch to the band's sound. With Codin on board, Shadowbox manages to create eclectic music, which combines grime, dub and hip hop in the most original way possible. When it comes to the quality of their work, Shadowbox is as professional as any other international band, but their sound does not resemble that of a group in particular, as the members strive to break down barriers established by genres.
