The German's favourite toy is his automobile. This also applies to the makers of the textile label, who combined their special love of the "automotive way of life" and their passion for design in November 2009 and launched the textile brand "Sourkrauts".
The ironic use of a stereotyping term for Germans was initially intended to reflect the love of "German Engineering". However, this has expanded over the years and now stands as a brand with the slogan "Made for Petrolheads" for all automobile enthusiasts. Sourkrauts is self-ironic and cosmopolitan and connects people of different cultures and backgrounds worldwide through the lowest common denominator alone - the love of cars.
