Update on my last project video! One common question I got when building this wooden air hose reel is how is the handle attached to the hose reel and doesn't it just spin continuously? Previously the hose was just attached directly to the tee fitting on the axel and it was then wrapped around the reel. There was some slop in the handle when winding up the hose because there was not a rigid connection between the reel and the axel or handle. To improve upon this I added a short section of pipe off the center tee and then an elbow fitting on the end. The elbow fitting is now wire tied to one of the dowels and there is now a direct connection between the handle, axel, and reel which provides a very solid feel and function. Check out the build video if you haven't seen it yet! https://youtu.be/ib1RbMSNT5k

If you use PVC dust collection pipe, do you seal the connections? I developed a solution for sealing PVC pipe connections without tape or sealant and am gaging interest on this topic.
